What is a dinner party & how does it work?

A dinner party is where our team will come to your home and cook a specialized menu for you and your guests on one particular occasion. Menus can vary in 4 or 7 courses and are custom designed for each dinner. We offer a service which completely puts the host to ease. We offer a service for you to enjoy premium gourmet meal in the comfort of your own home. We provide all that’s required and leave your kitchen shining clean. And hooray no dishes for you!

Upon initial stages, a custom menu is designed by Chef Sheridan to personalize each menu item to your needs. All menus are created to meet your ideal preference and presented with creative plating and wow factor. All dietary needs, allergies and sensitivities are held in high regards.

Rest assured we provide all cookware, utensils, cutlery and gourmet plate-ware. To host a party the home of the host will require preparation space, refrigerator, freezer, stove top, oven and adequate dining space.

A Dinner Party may consist of 4 or 7 courses which are served at relaxed pace throughout the evening.

For all parties a server is required to assist with the needs of guests through the course of the evening. This includes assistance with beverages, food service and other small tasks to put the host at ease. This service requires an additional $120. Depending on the size of your party, more than one server may be required.

Each Dinner party package includes a complimentary wine pairing to be served with the main course. We also provide bite sized hors deouvres prior to your dinner while your guests are settling in.

A dinner party may consist of 4 -20 guests. Each course is personally plated and served to each guest. The menu is designed to be the same for all guests, certain requests and substitutions can be made for individuals.

How are you able to specialize menus and capture my expectations?

In the first stage of creating an exclusive menu you are able to download the dinner party survey .These questions are constructed to enlighten us on your style of eating, food preferences, allergies/ sensitivities, and your specific taste patterns. We translate this completed survey into a specialized menu made just for you.

How do I Book a dinner party and what are the first steps I need to take?

You would first download my dinner party survey . This can be found under the “booking” section. You first must consider the date you would like to host the dinner party and how many guests would be in attendance. We will promptly respond with whether the date is available, costs associated and answer any questions you may have. If you wish to proceed with your booking a draft menu would be sent back for your approval. Depending on how far advance you book your menu may come closer to the date of your dinner. We do this to ensure the best use of the freshest ingredients available

 

What are the costs associated with hosting a dinner party with Chef Sheridan?

Groups of 8-20

$100 per person for a 4 course dinner party with hors d’oeuvres & wine
$150 per person for a 7 course dinner party with hors d’oeuvres & wine

Groups of 4-7

$140 per person for a 4 course dinner party with hors d’oeuvres
$185 per person for a 7 course dinner party with hors d’oeuvres

Our dinner parties allow you to set the bar for the atmosphere you would like to enjoy, eliminate rush & transportation time and save on inflated restaurant alcohol charges. An excellent choice for hosts/guests with young children, elderly and large groups.

Do you offer Gluten free menus?

Yes! These menus offer the same depth, variety and uniqueness as any other menu. Chef Sheridan is quite familiar with many of nature’s celiac friendly ingredients; arrowroot, rice flour, quinoa and the world of gluten free grains, seeds, legumes. With the addition of fresh produce and quality meats the chef is able to create an outstanding specialized menu. A gluten free menu is actually fairy simple when you start from the ground up with raw ingredients. You don’t have to bother with heavily processed and refined convenience products which are where a lot of sneaky gluten can be found.

How about vegetarian menus?

Yes! This is where the exciting world of produce, grains, legumes truly have their time to shine. These dishes look extraordinary when plated with the array of colours, shapes and textures. Vegetarian menus not only look and taste remarkable but also offer complete and balanced nutrition with a variety of protein and B vitamins. And no boring stir-fries, we promise.

Green thumb is Chef Sheridan’s philosophy based on having a small ecological footprint, being resourceful and having respect towards the environment. All for saving water and energy, recycling, and using locally sourced ingredients when possible.
