Tell me about buffet style events.
For larger groups of 16 or more I offer self-service catering in a buffet style. These are perfect for BBQ’s, pig roast luau’s, small weddings,company picnics and even live lobster dinners.
You would first download the large event survey; you would complete this form and send it back. You would then receive a response with detailed information, options and menu ideas. I then put together a draft menu for your approval.
I arrive at your location hours before your guest arrival. I prepare, present and serve your chosen menu.
A functional kitchen with basic appliances must be provided for this service. I use my own cooking utensils and plate ware.
These events are complete with hors d’oeuvres for guests upon arrival, an extensive dinner buffet and dessert.
What am I to expect for menu choices for buffet style events?
This is no average walk through buffet, its interactive fresh and fun. From pig roasts and braised meatball sliders to “design your own pasta” bars. Taste some remarkable food and come back for seconds.
What are your costs for such an event?
38$ per person for groups of 25 or more.

Do you offer Gluten free menus?
Yes! These menus offer the same depth, variety and uniqueness as any other menu. I am quite familiar with many of nature’s celiac friendly ingredients; arrowroot, rice flour, quinoa and the world of gluten free grains, seeds, legumes. With the addition of fresh produce and quality meats I am able to create an outstanding specialized menu. A gluten free menu is actually fairy simple when you start from the ground up with raw ingredients. You don’t have to bother with heavily processed and refined convenience products which are where a lot of sneaky gluten can be found.
How about vegetarian menus?
Yes! And I have to say I love these ones. This is where the exciting world of produce, grains, legumes truly have their time to shine. These dishes look extraordinary when plated with the array of colours, shapes and textures. Vegetarian menus not only look and taste remarkable but also offer complete and balanced nutrition with a variety of protein and B vitamins. And no boring stir-fries, I promise.

Green thumb is my philosophy based on having a small ecological footprint, being resourceful and having respect towards the environment. I am all for saving water, recycling, and using locally sourced ingredients when possible.
After working in several restaurants across this province, I have seen time and time again, substantial and meaningless waste from taps being left on, bottles and other recyclable products being carelessly tossed in the garbage and ridiculous food waste; It just truly bothers me. Rest assured, Chef Sheridan has natures back.
